As White As Snow

There was quite a nice surprise this morning when we woke up: it was snowing!!!
Snow in Rome is very unusual: last time our garden was covered with snowed was 11 years ago.
So today is certainly painted in white, as white as snow.
Below are some pictures of this very exceptional event: what you see is my garden and the area where I live.

Have a nice day!

Don't Let Procrastination Steal Your Dreams

Procastination is one of our worst enemies. It prevents you from fulfilling your dreams and accomplishing your projects. When you keep postponing something, it doesn't get done and keeps haunting you. Thus you are never completely free to focus your attention to your favorite activities and occupations.

Procrastination blocks you; it forces you to stay where you are now. You will never go on, never make that choice, never make that call; you will never go to that restaurant, or office, or meeting or party and maybe you will miss the only golden opportunity that would have changed your life forever.

I am one who tends to procrastinate a lot. However I have decided to work on my tendency to procrastinating. I have chosen a book by Napoleon Hill that is really changing my life. Click on the book image below and change your life too.

Let Energy Flow Freely

Whenever we feel extremely and inexplicably tired, it's because our energy level has gone down. This drop of energy is due to several reasons: overwork, inappropriate diet, sleep disorders, just to name a few. But another reason, one many of us are unaware of, is the clutter we tend to surround ourselves with.

Clutter tends to accumulate in some areas of our house. Have a look at this article to discover Clutter's Favorite Hiding Places.

For a better control of our energy and in order to live in an enviroment that increases our energy level, we should get rid of all those unused items that prevent positive energy from flowing freely. Click here for some strategic decluttering tips.

Identifying Clutter in Your House

When you want to create balance and harmony in your house, you need to clear your space of all those things that cause an accumulation of negative energy or, in other words, clutter.
Clutter is anything useless or unused that you keep for any reason (I may need it sometime in the future, for example)  and forget about.

Let's identify some types of clutter:
  • Books: some people find it very hard to get rid of books. Clinging to old books prevents new ideas and new thoughts from coming into your life. You stick to old thought patterns and your energy becomes oldfashioned and stale like your books.
  • Photographs: what's the point in keeping your pictures closed up in boxes or drawers? Let's enjoy them: hang them on your walls, send them as postcards to your friends and relatives, enjoy their energy when it's still fresh. And get rid of all those pictures that remind you of sad times.
  • Collections: when you collect something it's because you need the energy attached to it. So it is important to understant why you are collecting it and maybe replace your collection with something else. Let's make room for something new.
  • Things that need to be fixed: they also drain your energy. Broken or faulty things that should be taken care of reflect the lack of care for yourself. When you take care of your house and belongings, you take care of yourself. So fixing these things is an investment on yourself.
  • Somebody else's belongings: you know, that sofa your friend could not keep because he moved to a smaller house? Why should it take room in your house that you could feel with the energy you choose?
I'm sure that while you where reading this post you realized how much clutter you keep in your house. You are probably thinking: "Maybe I should start and do something about it, but where should I start from? And if I need that bag later and I have thrown it away in the meantime?"  In this case a non-traumatic decluttering approach can be the right solution. Have a look at this article.
